Casado island is in the west in Setonaikai, and Kudamatsu-city, Yamaguchi. Shoka Sonjuku is known in the place where Yamaguchi Prefecture produced a large number of many leading players of the Meiji Restoration.

　

　The east of an island faces across Suo Nada, west faces Casado bay, and there is Oshima of Tokuyama-city on the long and slender island which Casado island lasts to southwest from a northeast. The Casado bay side was dotted with the village and the cruiser had connected seven bays to Kudamatsu up to before for about 20 years.

The origin of the name of a place originates in the tradition that Itsukusima Myojin left the bamboo hat alone here.(Casa means bamboo hat.)

Now, Casado bridge is constructed over the Seto cape from Subana of the Miyanosu. Casado bridge -- the full length of 476.2m, and a width of 8m -- a marine part -- RANGA -- a truss -- the beam is connected at right angles to the arch of a bridge and a crimson arch It applies to an island's central Enoura and Omatsugaura, and there is a Casado shipyard.。

It is found also by surf-fishing and ship fishing in a part of Setonaikai National Park.
